The main task of the workshop is restoration of convent buildings. Sisters have mastered many building specialties: carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating; they can pave, deal with welding apparatus and do many other things.
Numerous internal partitions constructed during the Soviet period were disassembled and taken out in the Protecting Veil of the Holy Mother of God (Intercession) church, walls and vaults were cleared of paint and whitewashing, totaling up to 12 layers which covered picturesque wall-paintings of the XIXth century.
The Holy Trinity church crypt was cleared away from dust, marble slabs laid out and the St. Blessed Xenia of Petersburg church was arranged there.
External appearance of the Holy Trinity church was restored: an elegant ornament typical for the Moscow baroque style was recreated. Significant changes have also been made inside the church: the old wooden floor has been disassembled, the system of heating has been put in, the mosaic has been laid out, walls and vaults of an altar and a forward part of the church have been plastered anew, a new iconostas has been established.
It is impossible to list all works done by the restoration workshop, as inhabited living buildings and churches were handed over in such a destroyed condition, that it was necessary to restore practically all.
