On December 4, 2003 President of Russia visited the convent. The conventual choir met V.V.Putin in the Assumption cathedral where Hegumene Xenia presented him a ceramic icon of St. blessed Xenia of Petersburg specially made by sisters for this case. Continuing the visit, the honoured guest made his way to the conventual territory where conventual choir met him at the entrance. Vladimir Vladimirovitch visited the churches of the convent.

          In 2004 it’s 15 years since the restoration of the convent began. This significant event will be solemnly celebrated on The Protecting Veil of the Holy Mother of God day.

 In attention to earnest works on the revival of the convent the Most Holy Patriarch decorated Hegumene Xenia with an order of St. Prince Vladimir, III degree; an order of St. Princess Olga, Equal to the Apostles, III degree. Mother Hegumene has also state awards - a medal “For merits before Fatherland”, II degree; a medal “For merits before Kolomna”.
